Quarterly Trip to Effingham Manor Winery
Although our visits are often more frequent than quarterly, we stop by Effingham Manor Winery, nestled in the quaint countryside of Nokesville, Virginia, to pick up our Wine Club bottles every three months. This quarter’s wine club, which we picked up over this past weekend, featured a King’s Ransom (a personal favorite), Cabernet Franc, and Petit Manseng. We also took the opportunity to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy with a bottle of Effingham’s Sparkling Wine and the lovely views next to the koi pond on the property.

A Wardrobe Staple for Spring
Happy Friday, everyone! Spring is upon us and I’m fully embracing lighter colored dresses, flowy fabrics, and fun prints! I recently had the opportunity to shoot this fabulous dress with Savana Ashley Photography at The Red Fox Inn & Tavern (did you know this was our wedding venue?) in Middleburg, Virginia. Although this dress is from a previous season, it’s a classic look that you can absolutely incorporate into your own wardrobe. This look can be dressed up or down (swap out the heels for a pair of cute flats or sandals), and you could change out the black accessories for a pop of color if you’re feeling extra fun! Regardless, I think adding a cute black and white polka dot (or dalmatian) print dress to your wardrobe for spring is essential.
Hello, Spring!
Today marks the first day of spring! Can you feel my excitement for the sunnier days and warmer weather? My hydrangeas and roses are beginning to bud, the daffodils are out, and my seasonal allergies are back… spring is here! In addition to vlogging this past weekend (check out my latest vlog here), I caught up on quite a bit of spring cleaning, I cleared out my wardrobe and replaced my wool coats with lovely floral print dresses, and have started tending to my plants for the season.

When I think about getting ready for the day, I can’t imagine feeling like I’m truly dressed and ready for success until I’ve spritzed on a perfume. There is something about a good fragrance that instantly lifts your mood and makes you feel like you can take on the ready - it’s like you’re spritzing on an extra dose of confidence and personality. Over the last several years, I’ve been on the hunt for lovely, sophisticated and unique fragrances to have on hand for all occasions. I feel like I’ve finally found my favorites, and I’m sharing them here.
