Outfit of the Day | 03 January 2023

We recently had a mini staycation at the lovely Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C., and I figured it provided the perfect backdrop for an ‘outfit of the day’ post. The moody grey skies provided the perfect lighting.

During our stay, we enjoyed a couple of cocktails at Peacock Alley in the Waldorf Astoria, followed by an incredible Italian dinner at Ristorante Tosca (I highly recommend the branzino ), and a tour of the Old Post Office and Clock Tower which provided a stunning view of the city that rivals the Washington monument.

Our Afternoon at Stone Tower Winery

In the midst of our final wedding preparations, we had the opportunity to take some time out of our day to visit Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Virginia. It was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last!

An Evening at Goodstone Inn & Restaurant

This past spring, my fiancé and I had the pleasure of taking a few of our engagement pictures at the lovely Goodstone Inn in Middleburg, Virginia. It was our first visit to Goodstone Inn & Restaurant, and the location came highly recommended by our incredible photographer, Photography du Jour. After walking around the property and admiring the lovely scenery and the Inn’s iconic ivy wall, we decided that we absolutely could not pass up the opportunity to enjoy drinks and dinner at The Conservatory Restaurant.

Outfit of the Day | 16 October 2022

We spent this past Sunday visiting the charming little town of Clifton, Virginia. Our trip started at Paradise Springs Winery where we enjoyed wine flights while admiring the beautiful scenery and colorful leaves. The we popped over to Trattoria Villagio for a fantastic meal including burrata, grilled octopus, and a delicious fig pizza (yum!).

We had a lovely visit to Downtown Fredericksburg yesterday and enjoyed a stroll along the streets, a browse through the shops, a lovely lunch, and a stop to our favorite cupcake store. I find that dressing in layers during this transitional period of the season is key to staying comfortable (and still looking stylish) in Virginia. Here’s what I wore.
