My Fall Wardrobe Essentials

Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak. - Rachel Zoe

Having good quality clothing and accessories that you can turn to, regardless, of what you’re wearing, is crucial to feeling stylish, confident, and comfortable throughout the season. Investing in these key pieces will carry you through this fall and beyond. One of my favorite things about some of these fall wardrobe staples is that they are all neutral, so you can mix-and-match as you like based on your own personal style.

CAMEL COAT

One of the first things you’ll notice about my fall style is my love, if not dependence, on tailored jackets and longline trench coats. There is something so wonderful about putting on a nice jacket or coat that puts that finishing touch on your outfit. A few of my favorites in the shops right now are from Theory, Avec les Filles, and Burberry (an absolute classic!).

CREAM AND IVORY KNITWEAR

While cream and ivory suit my skin tone better than stark white, I’m basically referring to any light colored knitwear here. Investing in good quality materials, such as wool and cashmere, will mean that you’ll have beautiful knitwear that keeps you feeling warm and looking stylish and classic for years to come.

DARK COLORED TROUSERS

I have never been a fan of denim, and always opt out of denim in favor of trousers or jodhpur-style leggings. While denim is undoubtedly comfortable, wearing darker colored pants in chocolate, navy, and black hues elevates any look. I absolutely adore my Karen Millen x Lydia Millen jodhpurs from last season… while they are unfortunately sold out, Karen Millen’s latest edit with Lydia Millen incorporates another version of these.

BOOTS

If it’s fall or winter, you will catch me wearing either riding boots or over-the-knee boots in nine out of ten situations. Boots are comfortable, classic, and stylish, making them the perfect footwear for colder months. Among my personal brands are Stuart Weitzman and Fairfax and Favor (a relatively new brand addition to my wardrobe that I adore).
