Embracing Fall Florals
Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. - Albert Camus
Just because spring and summer are over doesn’t mean I’m giving up floral prints! In fact, I think floral prints are the perfect way to encapsulate fall. While I have officially put up my lighter colored floral prints, I’ve welcomed back some of the old favorites, as well as a few new items that I’m very excited to share in upcoming posts. When I think fall florals, I think deeper and moodier colors, rich tones, leaves, the warmer florals. Here are a few ideas I recommend keeping in mind if you also want to embrace florals this fall.
DARK BACKGROUNDS
When opting for a fall floral print, look for a print on a dark background (think brown, burgundy, black, deep green). The darker colors will really make your floral print ‘pop’, but keep the entire mood feeling autumnal.
CAMEL AND TAN ACCESSORIES
Camel and tan accessories are perfect to pair with fall floral prints. There is something so rich and autumnal about a tan handbag, pair of shoes, or camel trench coat that really warms up a floral pattern for a fall outfit.
LONG SLEEVES
Sticking to a long-sleeved dress or top will keep your look autumnal. If you have a short-sleeved fall top or dress, I recommend pairing it with a tailored blazer or jacket to keep the look. And as a bonus, wearing long-sleeved items will keep you looking stylish and warm!
