4 Shoes You Need in your Wardrobe for Spring

The Loafer

There are few looks more timeless and preppy than a pair of perfectly tailored ankle-length trousers paired with a leather loafer (bonus points if it’s in a fun color or pattern!). Loafers are the perfect shoe for spring because they still cover your foot and protect from the elements (like those April showers) but are a lighter-weight option perfect for showing a tiny pop of skin.

The Pointed Toe Flat

Is there any shoe more classic than a ballet flat? While the ballet flat is perfect for every season, I feel it is iconically a spring shoe. Personally, I like to opt for pointed-toe flats which will elongate the look of your legs, as opposed to shortening them.

The Pointed Toe Pump

While we are counting down towards warmer weather, I think close-toed heels are still preferable to an open-toe shoe during this season. A mid-height, close-toed heel in a tan or nude color is an absolute essential shoe at this time of year. You can wear it day or night, and can either dress up a casual outfit or add subtle elegant to your workwear. Opt for a leather that matches your skin tone to give the illusion of slimmer, longer legs.

The Over-the-Knee Boot

Just because we’re saying goodbye to cold, wintry days doesn’t mean we have to give up our over-the-knee boots! I think a tan suede pair of over-the-knee boots matches just about any spring dress or skirt perfectly.
