Celebrating One Year of Hunt Country Chic

Happy Anniversary, Hunt Country Chic! It’s with immense excitement and pride that I am writing this one-year anniversary post. It’s hard to believe it’s already been one year since my husband finally gave me the boost of confidence (thanks, babe!) that I needed to take the plunge into the world of blogging and social media.

While I’m not one to brag about myself, this year has been one full of milestones and highlights for me, and starting Hunt Country Chic is near the top of that list! I also got married, landed a major job promotion in my 9-to-5, and started renovations on our home, all while establishing an LLC and launching this blog and my Instagram account. I also had a couple of failures — my attempted journey into YouTube being on the top of that list (at least for now) — and I’ve learned many things about trying to start and run a small business.

I’ve also had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, both in Virginia’s hunt country and beyond, as a result of this blog and my Instagram. I’ve made new friends and found new companies and businesses that I’m passionate about supporting and promoting. I’m so grateful for the continued encouragement and engagement I’ve received here, via emails and letters (yes, the art of the letter is fortunately not dead), and through the lovely comments and messages you all send me on Instagram.

One year into this journey, I’m finally finding my rhythm and routine with content creation, writing, and trying to balance this passion project with my career. So, what can you expect to see from Hunt Country Chic this coming year? Well, I’d love to know from you! What do you enjoy reading and seeing? Are there any local businesses you’d like me to check out and feature? Please pop your ideas in the comments below this post!

I look forward to visiting more local wineries, checking out small towns throughout Virginia’s wine and hunt country, writing more about our house renovations (I think we are finally on the home stretch!), writing and posting more photos of our two lovely standard poodles, and definitely featuring more style content from my favorite brands.

So, for now, I would like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to you all for continuing to read this blog, engage with me on Instagram, and support this dream I have to make Hunt Country Chic the go-to spot on the Internet for all things related to Virginia’s wine and hunt country. Here’s to looking forward to the next year of Hunt Country Chic!
